The Sony Xperia 1 III also comes with an Octacore Snapdragon 888 CPU, 12 GB RAM, and an Adreno 660 GPU. The smartphone runs on the new Android 11 OS and is also 5G compatible. It also comes with a 4,500 mAh Li-Po 6.5-inch both fast and wireless charging.
Aside from the usual features common in many newer smartphones today, the Sony Xperia 1 III with unique ones that really make it stand out from the rest. First off, its 6.5-inch 4K OLED display supports a locked 120Hz refresh rate, making ideal for gaming. Sony has also enabled a special mode in its USB-C port to allow an HD video signal from an SLR camera. This will allow users to use it as a portable monitor, providing an interesting option for use in live streaming.
The Sony Xperia 1 III is currently in a state of development where its expected price or availability has not yet been officially announced. Due to its high-end features, it might be expected to be in somewhere in the USD1,000 to USD1,300 range. Sony may announce its actual retail price around the time of its availability. But that also may not be reassuring as of yet since it is expected for an “early summer” release without a target date announced as of yet.
