WiThings Move ECG Watch

People are now quite concerned about their health nowadays. More people are now into trying to get fit and healthy. Technology has more or less helped make this more convenient. There are now different gadgets available that can help people monitor and keep track of their health and fitness. One such gadget is the new and upcoming WiThings Move ECG smart watch.

An ECG Smart Watch

The WiThings Move ECG watch may look like your typical analog watch at first glance. But it comes with added health-related features that you will certainly appreciate. First off, it also works as an activity tracker that helps in monitoring your step count. Not only that, it can also help keep track of your vertical activity, thanks to its built-in altimeter. It can measure the floors that you have climbed for the day. This smart watch also tracks your sleep activity automatically when you wear it at night when you go to bed. It will give you a breakdown of your quality of sleep – light and deep sleep cycles, sleep interruptions, and will provide you with a sleep score based on those collective factors. You can access all the data from the accompanying WiThings Health Mate app downloaded into your smartphone.

But what makes the WiThings Move ECG watch even more interesting is that it comes with a built-in ECG monitor that keeps track of your heart activity. There are two electrodes located at the back of the watch case and another one on the metal bezel of the watch. Touching the ring bezel electrode using the opposite hand creates a loop that allows the watch to record the heart’s electrical activity. You can get your medical-grade ECG results in as little as 30 seconds.

The WiThings Move ECG watch can record your ECG reading even when your synced smartphone is not within range. The watch can store the data of your ECG until you are able to sync it again with your phone. So whenever you feel palpitations or an irregular heart rhythm, you only need to press the side button on the watch, create the loop and let the watch take your ECG reading.

The WiThings Move ECG watch can detect atrial fibrillation, a common heart rhythm disorder that can lead to heart failure. This condition is also said to be responsible for 30 percent of strokes. With the ECG results, the Health Mate app can then provide an instant analysis of your heart rhythm readings. It can tell you if they are normal or if they show signs of atrial fibrillation. The app can then recommend if you need to get in touch with a doctor. The WiThings Move ECG watch is now available on their website store for around US$130.
