If you have bought a Mercedes-Benz SLK and agreed to shell off 2000 euros (US$2,800) to add a Magic Sky Control option, we hope the car salesman told you how awesome that upgrade is.
The SLK Magic Sky Control vario-roof is a glass panel in the center of the convertible’s retractable hardtop. At a simple flick of a switch, the clear roof automatically becomes tinted by re-aligning the embedded light-blocking crystals.
Mercedes-Benz is the first car manufacturer to utilize this innovative technology in a large-scale production.
