A month ago, two Windows 7-powered Fujitsu tablets were being displayed inside plexi-glass boxes at a trade event in Japan with no other information except that, well, these upcoming tablets were from Fujitsu. Finally, light is slowly shedding as The Nikkei, Japan’s largest business daily, reports that a Fujitsu tablet is scheduled to go on sale in Spring 2011.
The said device will be available in the United States, Europe, some Asian countries, and everywhere else simultaneously, costing around US$500. According to the report, the tablet targets businesses and academic institutions. Fujitsu also expects that the still-unnamed tablet will become a hit among businessmen and the academe, selling 700,000 to 800,000 units on its first year.
The tablet supposedly features a Windows-based OS, a 10-inch LCD screen, USB port, SD card port, and up to eight hours of battery life.
