Zomm Wireless Leash

A valuable personal gadget such as a mobile phone is something that one cannot afford to lose. But unfortunately, a lot of people do so simply out of forgetfulness or being too occupied with a lot of other things. People may be able to prevent losing their mobile phones by having a sort of alarm system that they can connect with their phones to alert them in case they forgot about it.

Such an idea may have been playing around people’s minds for quite a time now but never bothered to do something about it. It’s a good thing that someone has developed a device such as the Zomm Wireless Leash that may help prevent mobile phone loss in the future. It took a housewife and mother of three to think up of such a simple device that has recently won the Best of Innovations Award at CES 2010 in Las Vegas.

Zomm stands for Zachary, Olivia and Madison’s Mom and the Zomm Wireless Leash is a small, keychain like Bluetooth enabled device that can wirelessly connect to any Bluetooth enabled mobile phone. What it mainly does is sound an alarm when a mobile phone owner reaches a certain distance from his or her phone, preventing it from being misplaced or being alerted before other people may take it away.

Not only that, the Zomm Wireless Leash can also act as a speakerphone and a call notification device. It also is equipped with a panic button that allows owners to call emergency assistance anywhere in the world at a press of a button. The Zomm Wireless Leash is set to be available for retail around the second quarter of 2010.
