Windows Phone 7 Launch on October 11

The Windows Phone 7, Microsoft’s upcoming smartphone, is said to be launched on October 11 with the company’s CEO Steve Ballmer to serve as keynote speaker. He will be joined on stage by CEO of AT&T Mobility and Consumer Markets, Ralph de la Vega. The launch will be held simultaneously in New York and London.

The catch is that it appears T-Mobile is left out of the event, even though the carrier will also distribute WP7 on the same day. Sources say that Microsoft will also be conducting a gathering centered on T-Mobile‘s Microsoft-powered smartphones, although it would be on a smaller scale. We are not sure if other wireless carriers like Sprint and Verizon would join in the fun.
