WiFi-Only Motorola Xoom Coming on March 27

Motorola Mobility has officially announced that its WiFi-only Motorola Xoom would be available on leading retailers across the United States on March 27. Motorola’s tablet computer and potential iPad competitor will be sold in Amazon, Best Buy, Costco, RadioShack, Sam’s Club, Staples, and Walmart for US$599. It will also be available on regional retailers and carriers.

Apart from removing its 3G and 4G connectivity functions, the tablet device still packs with features seen on the original Xoom. It has a 1GHz NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor, Android 3.0 Honeycomb, 1GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, a 5-megapixel camera with autofocus, and a 10.1-inch display with 1280 x 800 resolution.
