Vertu Constellation Ayxta Mobile Phone

What do rich people use as their mobile phone?  If you answer iPhone, well, not really.  People who have money to waste do not inquire about technical specs, but whether the handset can actually complement their lifestyle.  If that phone can actually feed them grapes, they would buy it in a heartbeat.

Vertu pretty much understands that, that is why they come up with the Constellation Ayxta flip phone, aimed at those who are searching for "a high quality product to assist in maintaining their standard of living wherever they may be."  For instance, if you get stuck in Milan and you have no idea where to go, simply access the Vertu Select and the online program would inform you of the hippest cafés during the day and the hottest clubs at midnight, or where to shop and what art exhibits to attend.  Consider it as Lonely Planet for the rich.

The Constellation Ayxta also has its own Concierge service, which hooks you up directly with a customer service representative and does not put you on hold.  At just one touch of a button, your customer service agent can help you with any question you may have or even ask them if they can pick up the laundry for you (of course, we are kidding on that one).

On the technical side, the Vertu Constellation Ayxta has 3G connectivity, a 3-megapixel camera with integrated flash, a microSD slot that extends the phone’s memory up to 8GB, and lets you connect with both PC and Mac through a micro USB port.  The flip phone is done in stainless steel frame with ceramic and leather detail.

It is now available in Europe, costing between €4,900 and €6,500 (or US$7,000 to $10,500).  Seems like Vertu is saying, "If you think this is expensive, then you are not rich enough."
