Verizon Launches BlackBerry Curve 3G for the Masses

Verizon is set to launch the BlackBerry Curve 3G, the GSM version of the well-loved Curve line. The smartphone, which is basically BlackBerry 9330, features a mirror-like trim, 35-key full QWERTY backlit keyboard, optical trackpad, dedicated media keys, 2-megapixel camera, 512MB Flash memory that is expandable up to 32GB thanks to the microSD/ SDHC slot, built-in GPS, BlackBerry OS 5 that can be upgraded to 6, WiFi, and the usual e-mail and messaging capabilities BlackBerry is good at.

The BlackBerry Curve 3G will be available beginning September 16, costing US$29.99 with a $100 mail-in rebate and an updated two-year contract. Users can choose between charcoal and fuchsia red.
