Sony has added two new smartphones in its Xperia line, namely the 6-inch Xperia T2 Ultra (pictured above) and the 4-inch Xperia E1 (below).
While both new Sony Xperia devices look very much like the Xperia Z and Xperia Z Ultra, the new ones have a slightly smaller screen and watered-down specs.
The Sony Xperia T2 Ultra is the more powerful of the two. It sports a 6-inch screen with 720p resolution, a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor of unspecified power, 1GB of RAM, a 13-megapixel camera at the back, 8GB of storage, a 3,000mAh battery, and LTE support.
Meanwhile, the Sony Xperia E1 comes with a 4-inch display with 480 x 800 resolution, a 1.2GHz CPU, 512MB of RAM, 1,700mAh battery, and 4GB of storage memory. It also has a 100-decibel speaker, which is loud enough to keep you zoned out even with a motorcycle running, as Sony claims. Unlike the T2 Ultra, this entry-level gadget does not have LTE support.
Both smartphones are available in single- or dual-SIM models. No word yet on price and availability, but we know that the T2 Ultra will be available in China, Asia-Pacific, the Middle East, and Africa. It is unlikely to reach the U.S. shores.
