There are devices nowadays that just don’t seem to belong into a single category. This can both be their advantage or disadvantage. People will either find them unique or appealing or sometimes be turned off for lack of that certain identity. The same may be said about the new Toshiba Libretto.
The Toshiba Libretto is a dual-screen device that may look in between a tablet or a netbook. It is small enough to be considered a netbook composed of a clamshell design with display screens on both sides and without a physical keyboard. Both displays function as touchscreens, with one acting as a viewer while the other as a virtual keyboard. But then again, this function may be closer to a tablet PC in this case. But then again, the Toshiba Libretto might be in a whole different category on its own.
The Toshiba Libretto features two 7″ dual multi-touch screens that can work either horizontally or vertically. It runs on an energy efficient Intel Pentium processor, has Wifi and Bluetooth connectivity as well as full multimedia features. The new Toshiba Libretto is available at Toshiba for US$1,100.
