With tablet devices now getting more and more popular, it will only be a matter of time when more and more of them will flood the market. Tablets no longer become a niche market by that time. But at its early stages, some companies may already be trying to carve out their own place in the market for tablet devices.
In the case of Toshiba, it has partnered with Intel to come up with a tablet device geared toward students for educational use. The Toshiba CM1 educational tablet is actually a laptop and tablet convertible designed for student use. It is powered by an Intel N450 Atom processor and features a 10.1 inch touchscreen LCD display that supports pen inputs, 2GB RAM, 160GB HDD and weighs 1.8 kg. The Toshiba CM1 also features a simple yet durable design to make them quite ideal for student use. Unfortunately, it is set to be launched in the Japanese market sometime in August. There’s no word yet on how much it will cost.
