We have reported about the Toq smartwatch back in September and chipmaker Qualcomm has announced its smartwatch will be available on retail beginning December 2. Much like most computing watches around, the Toq smartwatch promises to sync your apps and phones calls seamlessly to your wrist.
Qualcomm wrote in a social email that the Toq smartwatch will be available on its website for $349. Here’s the catch, though: this gadget will be sold in limited quantities and will not be a full-fledged new product for Qualcomm. You will have to purchase it right away if you want this limited edition smartwatch so badly.
The Toq smartwatch comes with a reflective, low-energy Miasol screen that makes the device viewable even under bright sunlight. Unlike its fellow smartwatches in the market today, this one does not have any physical buttons. Instead, everything is controlled in the touchscreen. The device also shows notifications from phone calls, text messages and alerts from apps you have installed in the smartphone you have synced it with.
The best part about the Toq is its battery life, as Qualcomm says its smartwatch can run for up to five days and can be charged wirelessly by placing it on a charging base.
