This new feature allows users to make adjustments to the maps such as adding new streets, noting road blocks, and placing additional points of interests. This additions can be made right on the GO 720 and then saved in the device’s 2GB internal hard drive.

Another unique feature of Map Share is that the added information can also be shared with other drivers. This is done by uploading and sharing the new information by uploading them online through the TomTom desktop companion. In a similar way, users may also download updates made by other GO 720 users on the Map Share community online. It is a unique feature that TomTom has incorporated into their device that would surely appeal to a lot of frequent travelers out there.
