An advertisement on Spike’s VGX show gives a glimpse of Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition, as well as when it will be readily available on home consoles. The latest from the popular video game series will land on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One beginning January 28, 2014.
The Definitive Edition is expected to provide improved visuals, including life-like animation on hair and fur courtesy of TressFX, as well as multiplayer downloadable content that are previously released in the PC version. Unlike the 2013 desktop version, however, the console edition will not support 3D visuals.
The Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition is a result of collaboration between Nixxes, Crystal Dynamics, and United Front Games. It is now available for pre-order on Amazon for $59.99.
