Timex introduces its new wristwatch that features GPS technology. The Ironman Global Trainer not only could tell time, but also measures the wearer’s pace, speed, distance, and other factors in real time.
Customizable displays show up to four different metrics at once, while its advanced online training log software analyzes your uploaded data for you to review and work on. The watch is also water-resistant, able to withstand up to 50 meters under water.
The device will also be compatible with Timex’s heart rate and bike speed sensors, as well as any device that utilizes ANT+ wireless technology.
The Timex Ironman Global Trainer is set to be revealed formally on February, although it will become available for shipping beginning May 2010 on REI stores in the United States. Meanwhile, other countries would have to wait until September to get one of these.
