Three Windows Phone 7 Smartphones for AT&T, All Under US$200

AT&T distributes three smartphones that run on the new Windows Phone 7 from Microsoft. From left, we have Samsung Focus, HTC 7 Surround, and LG Quantum. Engadget has put the three phones side by side for comparison.

The Samsung Focus, formerly known as the i917 Cetus, is close to being called as the WP7 version of the Galaxy S. It features a 4-inch WVGA Super AMOLED screen, a curvy design, and at 9.9 millimeters, it is the slimmest Windows Phone 7 handset yet.

Meanwhile, the HTC 7 Surround stands out for its Dolby Surround Sound speaker that slides out from the side. Although it is cased in plastic, it does have a premium look and feel.

Lastly, the LG Quantum–which goes by the name Optimus 7Q outside the United States–features a QWERTY slider keyboard, rubberized edges, and one of the smallest screens among WP7 phones. The keyboard, however, looks like those from Fisher-Price toys, but we are probably getting nostalgic on that one.
