While Electronic Arts ended official support for the PC version of The Sims 2, the company is offering the game for free. All you need to do is register at EA’s gaming portal Origin to get a free copy of The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection.
Once you become an Origin member, you need to download and install its desktop program. From the “Origin” tab on the top left of the window, click “Redeem Product Code” and enter the code “I-LOVE-THE-SIMS”. Download will remain available until July 31 at 10:00 a.m. Pacific, and there’s not a lot of days left to get the iconic The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection for free.
And I do recommended getting the game now because downloading the game itself could take from an hour to a full day, depending on your connection speed.
