The Halfbike II

Halfbike IIGoing places should not only serve as a necessity. It is nice if the trip becomes fun and enjoyable. People use different modes of transport going from one place to another. Short distances are ideal for scooters, bikes, skateboards, roller blades and even unicycles. Over the years, many inventions have come out to try and be added into this list. One of the more unique and interesting ones to come out includes the Halfbike II.

The Halfbike II is a unique portable mode of transportation that can turn heads as well as give that fun vibe. It may be a long shot trying to call it a bicycle since it is nowhere quite like one. It works for standing riders instead of the seated position for bike riders. It uses the core driving mechanism of a bicycle and that is where the similarities stop. The Halfbike II is a three-wheeled portable transport that makes use of different balancing principles from that of a typical bicycle when moving. The best description for it would be a cross between a bike and a kid scooter. Users still pedal in order to move around. But turning or changing direction is an entirely different principle. Riders simply lean from one side to another in order to turn the Halfbike II, which may have similarities to how skateboarders change direction.

The Halfbike II gives people a different experience of moving around. It is designed to be portable, with the handlebars collapsible to make it easy and convenient to store. When folded, the Halbike II can fit right into a car trunk or even under an office table. People can use it to go to work or just go around the block or city to see the sights the Halfbike is currently undergoing a Kickstarter crowdfunding campaign. And by the looks of it, there are a lot of people interested in having one. If you wish to be one of them, you can pledge $399 to their cause in order to own one. The estimated shipping of the first batch is expected to be sometime in July of this year.
