One technology that is said to be a hot item in 2011 will be the smartphone integration with automobile operating systems, with Ford leading the way as they introduced its AppLink, which allows driver to control certain apps right in their in-car touchscreen. Just today, another similar app is set to debut in the coming year. The Sync Destinations app lets drivers set up a route while they wait, then have it loaded in Ford’s Sync TDI system.
This app will be available in both iOS and Android, as well as on BlackBerry months after. Demonstrations will be done on Pepcom Digital Experience in Las Vegas on January 5 and on International CES 2011 between January 6 and 9 in the same city.
