The Reader Sony Digital Book is a portable gadget that allows you to read a number of titles, without having to bring dozens and dozens of books…whenever, wherever. You can download a number of eBook titles at Sony’s eBook Store. Choose from classics, popular and new releases. Sony Reader also supports the following formats: Adobe PDF10, RTF, TXT, BBeB and Microsoft Word.
Sony Reader’s long battery life can last up to 7,500 continuous turns. Another plus is the amazing paper-like quality of its screen, thus reading is not taxing on the eyes.

Sony Reader Digital book is compact and lightweight, making it an ideal travel companion. It weighs about 9 ounces, 1/3" thick.
Paper-like screen technology
The impressive 6-inch display utilizes breakthrough technology, making the screen appear almost paper-like. Reading is made easier, and what’s more, the display is not compromised even in bright sunshine. Plus, the screen allows for high contrast and high resolution, with an almost 180º viewing angle. Text can be enlarged for easy reading.
Content storage capability
This gizmo’s internal memory can store up to 160 avergae sized eBooks. Sony reader also has a slot for optional extended memory card for storage of hundreds more eBooks and other supported documents.
Multiple eBook titles
At the Connect eBook Store, you can browse for and buy thousands of new releases, popular and classic titles. You can also visit other participating websites, and even unsecure sites that have eBook in file formats supported by Reader.
More than just eBooks
Apart from just reading eBooks, Sony Reader also comes with the eBook Library 2.0 PC Software which allows you to easily transfer Adobe PDF documents, Microsoft Word documents, BBeB Book and other text file formats to the Reader. Accessing and viewing multiple files at any time is now a cinch.
