Sony PlayStation 4 Finally Revealed

The last time Sony introduced the PlayStation 4, the company only revealed the controller. During a press conference at E3 trade event, Sony finally unveiled the main console and it looks quite boxy as usual.

It has been seven years since Sony released the PlayStation 3. The next-generation console features an X86 processor, enhanced PC GPU, and 8GB of high-speed unified memory. The PlayStation 4 also comes with a dual-shock controller, which sports a touchpad, headphone jack, and even a share button.

Why the need for a dedicated share button? The PS4 records and compresses the gameplay clips while you are playing. Using the button, you can share snippets of your gameplay to your friends or even let them remotely watch you play the game in real time. The share button also allows your friends to virtually take over the controller and assist you in finishing a level.

The PlayStation 4 also has a Remote Play feature that allows you to play your games on the PlayStation Vita, and even play the Vita while watching television.

The Sony PlayStation 4 is set to be available “this holiday season” for a suggested retail price of $399.
