Sony Launches Xperia L Smartphone

Sony introduces its latest flagship smartphone. The Sony Xperia L features a dual-core 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8230 SoC processor, 1GB of RAM, an unspecific version of Android, and 8GB onboard storage with microSD card slot.

On the outside, the smartphone comes with a 4.3-inch screen with 854 x 480 resolution (one of the lowest pixel densities compared to other current smartphones), an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera with Sony’s Exmor RS for Mobile sensor and HD video recording capability, and a VGA front-facing camera.

It also supports a multitude of connectivity options, such as AGPS, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, GLONASS, microUSB, DLNA, NFC, and MHL. The phone comes pre-loaded with several media apps.

The Sony Xperia L will be available worldwide beginning the second quarter of 2013. Pricing details remain hush-hush, but expect it to fall along the $230 range.
