Laptops today are valued not only for their performance but also for their improved portability. It is now possible for laptop to become lighter and slimmer, a vast improvement from the heavy laptops of several years ago. But along with these enhancements and improvements also come the increase in price points. The newer laptops seem to be designed for those who can only afford them. But what about the students and people who want an affordable alternative? It is because of this that Sony is introducing an affordable model of its Vaio line with the Sony Vaio Fit laptop.
The Sony Vaio Fit laptop is designed to provide excellent performance and quality in a laptop with an entry level price point. It features a third generation Intel Core processor and will be available for up to a Core i7 processor for better performance. This new laptop features also the Windows 8 OS to take advantage of the capacitive touch screen display.
The Sony Vaio Fit comes with either a 14- or 15-inch display that is capable of HD+ and Full HD resolution, respectively. Its webcam comes with the Exmor R for PC CMOS sensors to provide impressive webcam functionality. This laptop is also designed for quality multimedia features, thanks to Sony’s Clear Audio for louder and clearer sound with virtual sound surround experience. Other features include NFC technology, quick charge functionality and Rapid Wake technology. All these are encased in a tough aluminum material that is both light and durable. The Sony Vaio Fit laptop is expected to be available in the US by mid-May. It is expected to cost from US$649 to US$699, depending on specifications.
