Sony has officially announced that its Alpha DSLR line will have two new entry-level models. The DSLR-A290 and DSLR-A390 share common features like 14-megapixel CCD sensors, updated grip design and button layout, a maximum ISO of 3200, the ability to sync with the Sony Bravia, and a mini-HDMI port.
The differences lie on a few dimensions and auto-focus features. The A390 also comes with a dual tilting screen, enabling the user to view the subject at odd angles, compared to the single tilt display of the A290. Both screens, however, have the same specs (2.7-inch, 230,000-dot TFT LCD).
The Sony Alpha A290 and A390 will be available in July, with the former starting at US$499.99 while the latter will be priced at $599.99.
