There aren’t much interesting apps for the Windows Phone 7 lately, but this could be a start. The makers of the Slingbox comes up with the SlingPlayer Mobile app, which would come in handy if you own a Slingbox in the first place. The app enables Slingbox owners to use their WP7 smartphones to change channels, control their DVRs, and watch their fave shows anywhere there is a 3G or WiFi connection.
Just like the media player device, the SlingPlayer Mobile App does not come cheap. It costs US$30 in the United States, C$32 in Canada, £23 in the United Kingdom, and €21.10 in Europe plus local tax. There is also news about an upcoming iPad version of the SlingPlayer Mobile, which will be coming soon.
