Softbank and Sharp have joined the touchscreen bandwagon and announced the Aquos Fulltouch 931SH. This killer slider mobile phone boasts an amazing 3.8-inch 1024 x 480 pixel resolution touchscreen that almost rivals netbooks. The standard sub-notebook screen resolution is currently pegged at 1024 x 600. You’re probably close or at the top of the cell phone food chain if you get to have this smartphone. That is, if you live in Japan.
Apart from the high pixel screen, the Aquos Fulltouch 931SH slider also features a 5.2 MP camera with image stabilizer, Bluetooth with A2DP, accelerometer, media player, 100MB of internal memory MicroSD, 1seg TV tuner, and a web-browser that will put the 3G data connectivity to good use. The specs of Sharp’ latest phone include GPS CMOS camera for video calls and tri band GSM connectivity (900/1800/1900 MHz) and WCDMA/HSDPA.
These are the stuff you’d find in regular featurephones, but the the Aquos Fulltouch 931SH’s major attraction is that wild pixel screen. No information about pricing or availability though. As you might have already known, the device won’t be available anywhere outside Japan or, for that matter, outside Softbank’s network. Consider a trip to Japan if you want to own this amazing slider.
