Sharp and NTT DoCoMo Partner Up on Ion Generator-Mobile Phone Concept

Sharp has been tinkering on reducing the size of its ion-generating products in hopes that they could integrate it at the back of a Japanese-style flip phone.

This concept was recently found in the booths of Sharp and NTT DoCoMo during the recent CEATEC, which aims to have the phone emit health-invigorating ions to repel viruses and generally make you feel better. DoCoMo also displays a set of design concepts of possible personal ion generator on phone combos just to give you an idea what it may look like.

There aren’t any news whether the two companies have plans on making this concept commercially available, but it seems like it, and will most probably debut in Japan, while the rest of the world will have its share in probably a year or two. Just a hunch.
