Samsung Unveils New EVIL Camera

Samsung has a new EVIL digital camera. By EVIL, we mean “Electronic Viewfinder, Interchangeable Lens.” The Samsung EVIL NX-100 is a DSLR in a compact body. Features include a 14.6-megapixel APS-C sensor, three-inch AMOLED LCD with 640 x 480 resolution, ISO 100-3200, and movie recording capabilities with 720p resolution. Buyers can also include optional features such as an EVF, Flash, and GPS module.

And just like any DSLR cameras, lenses are sold separately. These lenses, however, have something special. Samsung calls them i-Function lenses, with the rings on the lenses adjusting on whichever aspect of the exposure the user selects. With a simple touch of a button on the lens, it can focus, as well as adjust the shutter speed and aperture.

With all that tempting features, it is kinda frustrating to learn that pricing and availability have yet to be revealed.
