Samsung is catering to those who do not splurge on smartphones as it unveiled a quartet of Android KitKat budget smartphone. The Samsung Galaxy Core II (pictured) is the highlight device among the four, featuring a 4.5-inch WVGA screen, 1.2GHz processor, 768MB of RAM, and 4GB of built-in storage with microSD card slot.
Meanwhile, the Samsung Galaxy Ace 4 is a software refresh of its Ace 3, still with its 4-inch WVGA screen and your choice of dual-core 1GHz or 1.2GHz processor. The Galaxy Young 2 and Star 2 have similar specs: 3.5-inch half-VGA screen, single-core 1GHz processor, and fixed-focus cameras. It is just that the Star 2 does not carry 3G data.
These Samsung budget smartphones are available in developing regions, including China and India.
