Samsung recently introduced its latest creation – the Samsung Mondi. Billed as the "most advanced mobile WiMAX enabled handheld device in the US," the Mondi has a 4.3-inch LCD touch screen, a full QWERTY slide-up keyboard and optical mouse. It runs on Windows Mobile 6.1, comes with Opera 9.5, and is equipped with GPS navigation thanks to Rout 66. And of course, as the press release stated, the Mondi supports WiMAX.
It has the usual features: Internet access, e-mail, SMS, audio, video, photos, and even business apps.
Also according to the press release, Mondi grants access to various social websites, as well as different service providers including GypsiiTM, and MS Live Messenger.
What I found most interesting about the Mondi is that you can customize it easily, thanks to the TouchWiz’ which provides one-touch access to apps and widgets which were designed to be dragged and dropped anywhere on the screen for easier viewing easier. WiFi allows provides quick and simple connections to Outlook E-mail, Microsoft Office, etc. Lastly, the Mondi lets your choose, upload and watch movies, listen to music or play games. The new Samsung Mondi will be available in the second quarter of 2009, but there’s no word yet regarding price.
