Samsung Galaxy S5 will reportedly look like the Galaxy Round smartphone.

With the success of Samsung’s Galaxy S4 smartphone, surely a successor will not be far behind. Quoting a recent report from Korean news site ET News, Forbes is reporting that Samsung Galaxy S5 will be available within the first quarter of 2014, with production kicking off in January.

According to sources, the next-generation smartphone will sport a 5-inch screen with Super AMOLED display and a very dense 560 pixels per inch. There will be two versions of the Galaxy S5: a top-end model equipped with a flexible or curved OLED screen and metal casing, and a lower-end version with a standard screen. The curved screen will be reminiscent of the company’s Galaxy Round phone, which is currently available in South Korea.

The device’s battery will be a major upgrade if the rumors are to be believed, with Samsung packing the Galaxy S5 with a whopping 4000mAh battery. Compare that to batteries in current smartphones ranging from 2200 to 2600mAh.

While we wait for confirmation of a Samsung Galaxy S5 in the coming months, holiday shoppers may be interested into what Samsung is offering for Black Friday. For instance, every purchase of AT&T-bound Galaxy S4 smartphone (which costs $99) until January 9 comes with a Galaxy Tab 3 for a discounted price of $99.
