Samsung Galaxy S to be Released Worldwide

Yes, the headline should be a cause of excitement, alarm, concern, you name it. Samsung is known to release their products for retail on a certain region first, or worse, just in South Korea, before the rest of the world gets to have a piece of it. However, it seems that the company is very confident about their Super AMOLED-powered Galaxy S handset that it will be released simultaneously in 110 countries around the world.

In fact, reps from Samsung claim that they have already established partnerships with major telecommunication companies on all those 110 countries such as Orange in France, SingTel in Singapore, Deutsche Telecom in Germany among others.

To give you a refresher, the Galaxy S runs on Android 2.1 (upgradable to version 2.2), has a 5-megapixel camera (with autofocus, geo-tagging, touch focus, and face/ smile detection), multimedia player, and loads of mobile applications.

No official announcement when the Samsung Galaxy S will become available, but Engadget says it will most likely be this month.
