Samsung is also sneaking in some low-priced handsets before the year ends. The Samsung Galaxy S Duos 2 (formally called GT-S7582) is packed with a 4-inch WVGA display with 800 x 480 screen resolution, Android 4.2, a “fast and powerful” 1.2GHz processor, 6GB of SDRAM (but other blogs insist it is actually 6Gb, or just 768MB), 4GB of internal storage (expandable to 64GB via microSD card), and a 1,500 mAh battery.
As indicated by its name, the Galaxy S Duos 2 is a second-generation smartphone that can carry two SIM cards at the same time. It also has a 5-megapixel rear-facing camera, as well as a VGA front-facing video camera.
The Samsung Galaxy S Duos 2 is now available in India for only 10999 rupees (a little over US$176). Customers can choose between white and black. The company has yet to announce whether this smartphone will land on the shelves of other countries.
