So the rumors about Samsung Galaxy Mega are true after all! But the South Korean mega-company is confirming not just one, but two versions of the “giant” smartphone.
The difference lies on screen size. The first comes with with a 6.3-inch “HD display” (with a more-than-likely 720p resolution), along with a dual-core 1.7GHz processor, Android 4.2, and an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera. It houses a suite of software features like Air View, Multi Windows, and Pop-up Play, so you can make the most out of that big screen. The Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 also comes with LTE and HSPA radios, as well as GPS and GLONASS for your location-based activities. Other details in the spec list include a 3,200mAh batter and a built-in 8GB or 16GB internal storage that can be expanded up to 64GB, thanks to its microSD slot.
Meanwhile, the second version features a 5.8-inch display with 540p resolution and HSPA-only radio. It is packed with a 1.4GHz dual-core processor, the same 8-megapixel camera, and just one internal memory option at 8GB. Other than the downgrade, it pretty much has all the other specs.
No word yet on the pricing scheme for both versions of the Samsung Galaxy Mega, but we hope it will cost less than the Galaxy Note 2.
