Apart from the two new smartwatches, Samsung also unveiled during its event in Mobile World Congress a new fitness- and fashion-oriented smartwatch. Design-wise, the Samsung Galaxy Gear Fit seems to be taking notes from Pebble, with its minimal features and lightweight profile.

With the smaller display and a sleeker design, the Galaxy Gear Fit offers the same heart rate monitor, pedometer, and other activity monitoring components, as well as compatibility with 20 other Galaxy devices. It also comes with an accelerometer and gyroscope.

The Samsung Galaxy Gear Fit can also display notifications on your phone calls, SMS, email, and apps. It also allows two-way interaction with Samsung phones, such as receiving and rejecting phone calls, as well as provide pre-set replies to incoming messages. However, it weighs much less than the new Galaxy Gear 2 and lasts up to four days under normal usage. The device has a fashionable side to it, as you can swap straps much like the Gear 2.

The Gear Fit will be available on April 11 in nearly 150 countries, much like Samsung’s other new devices including the Samsung Galaxy S5.
