There now seems to be a fine line between a compact and a basic DLSR camera. In terms of size, some DSLR’s (or those compact digital cameras with interchangeable lens) are not that entirely different from most compact digital cameras. But what might set them apart are the features, of course. But the compact digital cameras are also fighting back with more advanced features that also make them comparable to DSLR cameras in terms of image quality at lesser the price. And among the advanced compact digital cameras to come out lately is the Ricoh GR Digital Camera.
The Ricoh GR Camera features a 16MP APS-C sized CMOS sensor with 18.3mm F2.8 lens for high resolution, wide-angle images of superb quality. It also comes with both manual and auto-focus features. Supporting the sensor is the GR Engine V image processor, which optimizes high sensitivity shooting while minimizing image noise. a 2.7 inch LCD display allows users to check out the images taken. it has an ISO range of 100 to 25,600. This advanced compact digital camera is also capable of recording video ad Full HD 1080p in 24,25 or 30 fps. The camera comes with a retro look that many people seem to like nowadays.
The Ricoh GR seems to be a good mix of old and new combined into an advanced compact digital camera. Similar to a retro camera, it comes with the world’s first twin-dial control system in a compact digital camera. Despite its advanced features, the Ricoh GR is expected to cost within the 3-digit range of pricing, unlike some other cameras in its category. The Ricoh GR camera is expected to be available sometime in May for only US$800.
