iPhone 6 could be larger

A report from Bloomberg claims that Apple suppliers are preparing to start production for larger-sized iPhones next month. Sources say that Apple is developing two larger iPhone 6 smartphones. One will have a 4.7-inch display (compared to the tiny 4-inch screen of iPhone 5S), while another device will have an even bigger 5.5-inch display, stepping onto the phablet territory.

While previous reports claim the iPhone 6 will be launched in August, Bloomberg is reporting that the two Apple devices will be shipped in September, which goes in line with Apple’s usual smartphone launch cycle.

The Bloomberg report comes after an alleged leaked document contains what is believed to the a schematic of the iPhone 6, which indicates that the upcoming Apple smartphone could sport a 5.5-inch screen. This would be the company’s first attempt to release a so-called phablet, which Samsung popularized in 2011 with the 5.3-inch Galaxy Note phone-tablet hybrid.
