Readius E-Reader Back From Obscurity

The news about a foldable e-reader called the Readius surfaced back in 2008, but the actual product was never released. Apparently its company, Polymer Vision, went bankrupt in 2009 (thanks to Bernie Madoff, rolling my eyes) and has been bought by Winstron. The new company has not only given new life to the ailing Polymer Vision, but has also funded its Readius Project.

The new device we see in the photo is still in concept stage. The e-reader, which features a folding screen, is supposed to fold into the size of a candybar phone and can expand into two different screen sizes.

Let’s hope they can pull this off. Making an e-reader fold would be a very convenient feature.
