Those popular scooters no longer seem to be just ordinary teenager toys. They have recently been equipped with electric motors to make them a convenient means of transportation for short distances where using a car would be unwise. One of the newer breeds of such scooters is the Razor eSpark Electric Scooter.
The Razor eSpark Electric Scooter is not a relatively new gadget that people may have seen for the first time. It is actually inspired by the Razor E100, an electric scooter that comes with a sparking action. The new Razor eSpark Electric Scooter comes with a chain driven, high torque motor that is controlled by a handy twist-grip throttle fixed on the scooter handle. It is also equipped with a Spark Bar that riders step into when moving in order to generate the sparks.
Unlike other electric scooters that start from a standing position, the Razor eSpark requires that initial manual kickoff prior to starting. This scooter requires at least a movement of 3 miles per hour to start by pressing a trigger to engage the electric motor. Its cruising speed averages around 10 miles per hour 10 miles per hour for a total of 40 minutes for every 8-hour charge. Although it may not be as energy efficient, the Razor eSpark still does provide a good means of short distance transportation that may still be fun nonetheless. It is available at Razor for US$143.
