There are now quite a number of portable camcorders to choose from out there. For those who wish to record video in 3D, there is this new portable 3D Video Camcorder that can handle the job. It may currently be the only portable 3D video camcorder available out there.
This portable 3D camcorder features two lenses that work in unison with the camcorder’s 3MP image sensor to record slightly different images which is then interlaced to create a 3D video. The videos are recorded in 640 x 480 resolution in AVI format. The 3D videos can be viewed on the camcorder’s 7″ screen overlaid with a parallax barrier to enable viewing in 3D without the need of special 3D glasses.
This unique camcorder can also record in standard 2D. Files can be stored in an SD card for up to 4GB. The Portable 3D Video Camcorder is available at Hammacher Schlemmer for US$591.
