It seems like Polaroid has found considerable amount of success with its Kids tablet that the company has unveiled its successor. The Polaroid Kids Tablet 2 is a 7-inch slate that comes pre-loaded with full versions of over 70 educational apps and e-books from kid-friendly content providers like Cartoon Network, Marvel, and Disney.
The Kids Tablet 2 is also a step-up from its predecessor, starting from its software upgrade to Android 4.2. It sports a dual-core 1.6GBz ARM Cortex A9 processor, 1GB of RAM, a screen resolution of 1024 x 600, and cameras at the front and back. The tablet comes with an SD card slot, built-in microphone and speakers, WiFi connectivity, and a rechargeable Lithium-ion polymer battery. It also has the usual parental controls and an app shop to download more apps, both free and paid.
The Polaroid Kids Tablet 2 is now available at Toys R Us for $149. It may seem expensive for a children’s tablet, but the sheer amount of apps in it make up for it.
