Philips GoGear Ariaz Media Player

It seems that Philips’ GoGear series is getting to full-on PMPs with GoGear Ariaz. This latest personal media player brings what Philips describes as a "significant jump in sound quality to mid-range MP3 players." The GoGear Ariaz adopts FullSound technology, which boosts the dynamics, treble, bass, and stereo imaging of MP3 files for better playback.

Measuring 66mm x 43mm x 12mm, the GoGear Ariaz packs with it a 2-inch display, a built-in microphone perfect for voice or radio recording, and a storage space of 4GB, 8GB, or 16GB. It also features a rather unique interface, including a combination of a big rocker key and touchscreen buttons. The media player also comes with two high definition quality headphones, providing an excellent audio performance usually reserved for the priciest media players.

With the GoGear Ariaz, you can easily download movies directly from the Internet. You can also listen to the radio with the RDS FM tuner. The media player also supports many popular file formats such as MP3, WMA, and MPEG4 video. The player gives you the alternative to convert most others files to a GoGear compatible format.

There is no word on the exact release date yet, but it appears that the Philips GoGear Ariaz Media Player will be available in Europe in April. Expected price is €79 – €179, or about $100 – $230.
