Philips Fidelio SoundSphere

Home sound systems have changed quite considerably with the refinements of existing technology that have provided some added features that was once not available. Aside from some speaker systems becoming more portable, some features such as support for portable media devices such as Apple iPod, iTouch and even the iPhone or the iPad has become an added essential. Speaker systems like the new Philips Fidelio SoundSphere highlight such changes.

The new Philips Fidelio SoundSphere actually merges two different Philips product lines into a single system. It features the Philips Fidelio dock speaker that is provided with the Philips SoundSphere technology for superior sound quality. The result is the Fidelio SoundSphere that supports Apple AirPlay to stream music coming from a number of Apple iDevices via a home WiFi network. This way, users can continue enjoying music via the Philips Fidelio SoundSphere even while the audio source device remains in the user’s hand.

The Fidelio SoundSphere has recently been unveiled by Philips. There are still some details that Philips may not have provided such as those concerning the specs of its speakers. But Philips did indicate that this new wireless docking speaker system will be available in Europe around May and may cost around 799 Euros or around US$1,100.
