Though tablet PC’s and netbooks have become smaller and more portable, they don’t seem to have become more durable in any way. The Panasonic Toughbook U1 Ultra is powered by the a 1.6GHz Intel Atom processor and features a 2GB SDRAM, 5.6″ WSVGA touchscreen display that also automatically adjusts screen brightness according to existing conditions, which includes while under sunlight. It also features a backlit 61-key QWERTY keyboard, Bluetooth as well as WiFi connectivity. The Panasonic Toughbook U1 Ultra is available at Panasonic for US$2,909.
