OCZ Technology Group unveils its Enyo portable solid-state drive (SSD), which they hope would usher in a new age in USB 3.0 interface. The Enyo features the performance and durability advantages of an internal SSD with the portability of an external storage solution.
The Enyo takes advantage of the SuperSpeed USB port, with up to 260MB/s read and 200MB/s write capabilities. This makes this gadget ten times faster than USB 2.0 speeds, all while being backwards-compatible, cutting the time it takes to transfer HD video clips, graphics, and music. It also features power management functions and low CPU utilization. This SSD is encased in a sleek, anodized aluminum housing and will be available in 64GB, 128GB, and 256GB options.
The OCZ Enyo USB 3.0 portable SSD is now available through authorized retail channels. The 64GB model will run at US$229.99, while the 128GB costs $409.99, and the 256GB version is available at $819.99.
