While the folks in United States keep themselves busy with Black Friday deals and football, the people across the pond wake up to the news about an upcoming Nokia Lumia 2520 invasion.

Nokia’s first attempt in the tablet market will go on sale in the United Kingdom exclusively at John Lewis and its affiliate stores. The 10.1-inch device runs on Windows RT 8.1 and will cost £400 beginning December 4 in your choice of glossy red or silk black, while its optional keyboard accessory will be available on retail “in the coming weeks” for an additional £150.

Since the gadget is not carrier-provided, you will have to purchase a separate 4G data-only SIM card from EE or O2. You will not be able to enjoy the perks of carrier subsidies, and at the same time it is not entirely clear whether other retailers will offer the Nokia Lumia 2520 in the near future.

The gadget sports a full HD display, 4G connectivity, a 6.7-megapixel rear camera with f1.9 aperture, a 2-megapixel front shooter, built-in NFC, and up to 11 hours of battery life. It comes pre-installed with Microsoft Office RT suite that lets your view and edit your Word, PowerPoint, and Excel files while on the move, as well as the Nokia Storyteller that aggregates all your social media content.
