The star of Nokia’s event in Abu Dhabi is definitely its previously leaked flagship Nokia Lumia 1520. The 6-inch phablet sports a 1080p display, a 20-megapixel PureView camera, and a quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor with 2GB of RAM.
This phablet comes with Nokia Camera, an imaging app that combines the best of similar apps that came before it (namely Pro and Smart). As for the camera, it is clocked at 20 megapixels with BSI f/2.4 Zeiss lens and optical image stabilization. The Nokia Lumia 1520 is cased in a recycled polycarbonate shell that comes in red, yellow, white and white-black.
Despite being a phablet, however, this one does not even have an optional stylus. It does take two hands to operate the Lumia 1520, unless if you have really big hands.
Other specs include four microphones, stereo audio recording capability, a 3,400mAh battery, Qi wireless charging, and a 32GB internal storage expandale to 64GB via microSD card slot. It also comes pre-installed with Vine and Instagram for Windows Phone, as well as Nokia’s in-house Storyteller and Beamer apps.
The Nokia Lumia 1520 is set to be lauched in Asia and Europe later this quarter. It costs $750, unsubsidized, while its DC-50 wireless charging plate (which will work with other compatible Nokia phones like Lumia 1020, 925, and 920) is priced at $99 and comes by the end of the year.
