Nokia 7705 Twist on Verizon Wireless

Nokia Twist on Verizon Wireless

Aside from the two new Samsung handhelds, Verizon Wireless has teamed up with leading mobile phone maker Nokia with in coming up with its own "swivel phone."  Tiny as it may appear with its 2.4-inch QVGA screen, the Nokia 7705 Twist has a full QWERTY keypad that comes out from beneath the screen by simply twisting it as if opening a fan.

The Nokia Twist fits perfectly on almost every pocket of people who are always on the move.  It also comes with a customizable Contact Light Ring-the swivel at the lower right side-that lets you assign colors to identify calls and messages from people in your contact list.  Other features include threaded messages; e-mail, IM, MMS, and SMS capabilities; a 3-megapixel camera with autofocus, flash, and self-timer; and the "post to blogs" feature that lets you post photos and messages to your social network sites.  Meanwhile, the phone also supports several Verizon services such as V Cast Video Streaming and Video on Demand, as well as V Cast Music with Rhapsody.

The Nokia 7705 Twist is available at Verizon Wireless’ authorized retail stores, as well as in its online store, beginning September 21, 2009.  It costs US$99.99 after rebates with a two-year contract.
