Apart from its tablets, Apple also unveiled a new line of MacBook Pro laptops during its event yesterday in San Francisco.
Apple is very proud of its new MacBook Pro computers, which the company calls “the best (MacBook) lineup we’ve ever had.” They come with new processors, more efficient graphics chips, and a longer battery life.
The new MacBook Pro 13-inch Retina sports a dual-core 2.4GHz fourth-generation Intel Core i5 processor with integrated Iris graphics chipset, 4GB of RAM, Thunderbolt 2 ports, and a 128GB solid-state drive. It can last for an impressive nine hours, thanks to the low-energy “Haswell” chip. Meanwhile, the new laptop delivers up to 90% faster graphics performance comparedt to previous MacBook Pro. It starts shipping on Tuesday with an initial price of $1,299.
Meanwhile, the 15-inch Retina-equipped MacBook Pro comes with a quad-core 2.4GHz Core i7 “Crystalwell” processor, 8GB of RAM, and Thunderbolt 2 ports. This flagship model also comes with your choice of an integrated Intel Iris Pro graphics or Iris Pro with Nvidia GeForce GT 750M discrete graphics chipset and 2GB of video memory for optimum graphics performance. This laptop starts at $1,999 and is now available.
Both new MacBook Pro computers come with clear Retina displays. The 13-inch model has 2560 x 1600 resolution, while the 15-inch sports a 2880 x 1800 screen resolution.
